Ten Plagues Photo Album

Ten Plagues
Exodus 7-11

Another way to tell a Bible story is to dress up as if you were one of the characters and tell the story from that character's point of view.  For this one, I dress up like Pharaoh's daughter and use a very simple photo album to tell my story.

I found free pictures on the internet and put them into a Word document.  Then I added the text to the top of the page.  I printed each page out and put them in the photo album (purchased from the Dollar Store).  I tell the story as if it really happened to me and these are pictures of my land and my house.

I was unable to contact the owners of the photos so I do not have them posted here.  You will need to search for your own pictures.  For the Nile turning to blood, I colored the water red with a marker.

Ten Plagues

Ten Plagues
Exodus 7-12

I found this large bag of flies at one of those stores where all items cost $1.  When telling the story of the Ten Plagues, I put the plastic flies on the plate of snacks.  When it became snack time, I went to get the snacks and was dramatically grossed out and showed the children what happened! They were horrified at the sight.  We discussed how the Egyptians felt about the flies everywhere.  Then we pulled out another plate of snacks to eat without the flies all over it.  The first thing they told their parents when the parents picked them up was about the flies all over their food!  Made an impression on them.

Ten Plagues Frogs

Exodus 8

I found these frogs at a dollar type store this weekend in the party favor section.  These frogs are as big as the palm of my hand.  I bought several packages.  I plan to give each child several frogs when we talk about the plague of frogs and they can send frogs hopping everywhere!  Just push down on the piece that looks like a tail and they hop.
